In 2020, Ms. Hamlin was awarded the Edward P. Bass Visiting Distinguished Architecture Fellowship at the Yale School of Architecture. Along with Dana Tang of Gluckman Tang Architects and Andrei Harwell of Yale University, Ms. Hamlin taught an advanced design and development studio that focused on the future of urban workspace. The selected project site is in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where students had to balance public and private development goals to create a building design that addressed the future of urban work while tackling the complex and competing challenges of quality job creation, environmental impact, and neighborhood context.
